Puerile Delusion.!!

I looked at the wide gape of her mouth; I wasn't cynical about her senses being paralyzed. Her muscles went numb, they didn't move an inch. It was a drop of sweat collapsing from her temple that made me feel there was another life in the room - she stared at me like a droid.
I smiled at her, she was the only sibling I had. She was the elder one; she was all, me and my parents had. Ours was a happy little family. But the thought of her dying gave me goosebumps, I again smiled at her. We are the best of friends so much that we don't need words to communicate. Our eyes did a lot more than mere words. She would die a bitter death but it isn't an age for that. I cursed our God for letting her die. The thoughts of her heart trying to cease and she trying to get a way out of it to live, to love and to be loved, seemed pathetic to me. I closed my eyes and let my fear fall but then when I looked at her, I again smiled.

It was half past noon when mum came running down from the stairs. She was howling in such a poignant manner that dad stood up and gave me a barren look. I could tell by his expression that he was sure of Katie's death. We three ran upstairs into her room, each wishing for the best. We lost our Katie forever. Mum was unable to afford such a pain; she collapsed in front of me, smothered. I hugged her tight and took her to her room, because now she was  my responsibility. Dad was still standing stiff and looking at Katie.

I placed mum on the bed and kissed her softly. I went back to Katie's room and stood beside dad, looking at Katie, my only sister. The bullet has gone straight across her heart pouring blood  from the little hole in her heart I made; had it been her brain, I couldn't have had been sure of her death. I looked at dad, tears came flowing out of his eyes, I held his hands because now there was no Katie and it was my responsibility to look after him and when he looked at me, I again smiled - because now all the toys, the dresses and the love wouldn't have to be shared. They were solely mine. I would now get new dresses, new toys and new love. And give Katie a little share from mine, just the way she used to give me till today. Mum and dad are mine now. Katie is now just a memory to be cherished.

And so when I looked at Katie, I again smiled.

Mephitic Desire!!

My mind constantly kept on digging into the past as I opened the empty almirah and stood deadpan, in front of it.
"I was tempted. I was just tempted,Dikshu. I never meant to leave you, ever." I recalled Pritam's fretful face.
My heart began to cripple again. I cannot end my 11 years of marriage, may be Pritam needed another chance. I cannot live without him. I closed my eyes as I felt a tear drop on my hands.

I had just gone to the panipuri stall with Minakshi when a lady got down from a white Hyundai car, that just resembles ours. She was too gorgeous wearing a little red dress and high heels. I had always wanted to wear these short dresses but neither did Pritam like them nor did he approve. I gazed at her style and the way she carried herself! I was in awe. "Wanna have one like her?!" Minakshi pinched me, "Let me buy you one, Pritam will not know!"

"Huh! No,Minu! I'm a mother. And Pritam doesn't like it!" I said and again looked at the car. A man got down and hugged her from behind. My jaws dropped after what I saw then. The man who hugged her was my husband, my very own Pritam. They walked towards the mall. I felt my knees tremble. I started running after them hoping myself to be completely wrong. But I knew I wasn't wrong when the man in the suit cried out - "Diksha?! What are you doing here?!"

"I love her, Diksha! Stop crying like a fool. Look at her and look at yourself. She is gorgeous!" shouted Pritam, the same night.

"But I'm your wife. How can you cheat on me?! You can't do this!" I cried, trying to keep him only mine.

"Don't shout. I'm busy now. We will talk later. Let's make it at peace!" I heard his cruel voice.

"What? What at peace?!"

"Divorce. Look, there's no point in staying together anymore!" said he, holding my shoulders.

"Divorce?! Are you mad?! You will leave me for that girl!!" I shouted, trying to control my tears.

He looked at me blankly and then went into his room and closed the door behind him.

I closed the almirah and sat down on the bed weeping again. I tried to distract my mind but it kept running away to those injured memories. Pritam has accepted that he had made a mistake and that he only loves me. He's no more with Naina. Will I give him a last chance?
I got up and took the photograph out from my suit case. It had Pritam and me smiling happily, with Pritam holding our little Shreya. I kissed on it and kept it on the table. I signed the divorce papers and kept it beside the photo frame. I read the letter again which I wrote last night - "I am sorry, Pritam. Look, there's no point in staying together anymore. Its over. Be happy!" and kept it there too.

I took Shreya on my lap, dragged the suitcase down the stairs and opened the door of our home, I mean, our house! My mind gave up on giving anymore chances to Pritam even though my heart clasped to our memories. I stepped out of the door with the hope of a new start!

Unescorted!!

"I understand, but it is just about a day, Rohan!" Sohini's text message flashed on my mobile screen while I tried to concentrate on the documents.

I typed the text in double quick time. "Yeah, that's the point! It's just about a day. I can't risk my job for just a day."

"Huh! But its our anniversary, damn it! Just a day's leave can never risk your job." My phone beeped in another second or two.

"Listen, I love you. You know how busy I am, Sohini, don't you? We can meet this weekend and have fun. Can't we?! I will take you anywhere you ask for! ;) " I replied to her text, trying to comfort her.

"Its not about having fun. Its about our anniversary! Please Rohan, lets meet up. I never ask anything from you. do I?!"

"K!" I was piqued by her being a nagging pain.

I wish I hadn't been that rude to her! I wish I hadn't taken her for granted! I wish I hadn't broken up with her just for my job! Chunks of those memories came flashing to my mind as I quickly took the polybag and pretended to be busy with it. I peeped at the man who held her hands and then at Sohini, only to see how happy she was! They smiled and laughed and held each others hands, just like we once used to, or may be, she used to. Anyone could say they were perfectly in love with each other! I saw them till they disappeared from my sight. My driver opened the car's door for me. I sat inside and kept my bag on the empty seat beside me.

The Defender

'First Aid Box. Check. Knife. Check. Spectacle Case. Check.' Mr.Ganguly seemed ecstatic as he concentrated on his assets.

'I hope I am not really missing out anything!' He glanced at Jaya, his better-half of 41 years.

'I wish we never had!' Jaya retorted back.

'We didn't, Jaya! You know, I am super excited to see little Payal again. Oh! How I have missed her cute dances.' Mr.Ganguly smiled, looking at Jaya.

'Yes. I have missed her too, Pranay. But I have missed my son the most.' She seemed to whimper again. 'Oh! Jaya!' Mr.Ganguly came near and hugged her.

'I can't really believe we are going to see them finally! Bonny has always been so busy! And you know even Payal is so busy with her studies, dance classes, swimming classes and what else not! Poor little girl! We never used to study so much in our days....'
'.....And now finally they've planned a holiday for us! It must be very tough for Bonny and Shweta. But this is what family is for.! They will do anything and everything for you.'  The elderly man beamed as they hurried towards the 34 Bus-Stand.

'Hmmm.... Are they coming here? Have you asked them exactly where we have to wait?' asked Jaya.

'Oh yes my lady, I have! Don't you worry about these things.' said the zealous Mr.Ganguly.

'Will you never be serious about anything,Pranay?' Jaya seemed too vexed with her husband. 'Did you take your cell phone? We can call them in case of any emergency.'

'Oh yes! I have.' smiled Mr.Pranay.

'What? Did he pick up your call?' asked Jaya with a worried look.

'Ummm.... No.. Its saying Bonny's cell phone is switched off. Let me try once again, wait.'

'Oh, God! Keep my son well. Keep his family well, God! I hope they are all fine. Why is their phone switched off, Pranay?' Mrs.Ganguly almost started weeping.

'Ahh, Jaya. Nothing has happened. May be the bad network is creating issues.' said he comforting his wife.

'But its been 3 hours, Pranay! Why aren't the coming? I am scared.' wept Jaya when suddenly their mobile beeped.

'Aahhh....Hello....? Bonny?' said Mr.Ganguly. 'Yeahh.... Oh.. Okay. Okay..'

'What did he say?' asked his wife after Mr.Ganguly ended the call.

'He said we should go back to our home. He will be late.So he will come there himself. Let's go, Jaya.' smiled the juvenile man.

'Oh Thank God, they're fine.' The woman of his life seemed relaxed.

'Hello dad, I am sorry, I can't come. I am busy and so is Shweta. Sorry, I became a bit late to inform you. May be we will meet next year!' Mr.Ganguly recalled his son's handsome voice. Then he put his arm around his beautiful wife as they walked towards the old-age home again.

Star-Crossed

To see the honor, please click on the link - spicy-saturday-picks-march-1-2014

My cell phone was juddering and flashing for the 5th time now. Exasperated, I clutched it and threw it into my coat pocket. Sachin, Mrs.Kandimalla and others who gathered in the conference room looked at me worriedly as I paused giving my Presentation.

"Umm.... Sorry! Sorry for the interruption!" I looked at their questioning faces.

After more 15 minutes, I took up my bag and hastily walked out of the room. I wanted to call Varun and sort out things but I hesitated. I was petrified.

I sat in my car and sighed. I looked at his missed-calls again. No! Its time now! I must call him and end everything. I dialed his number.
"Hey! Soumi, I wanted to ask you something! I knew you will call me back."  I suddenly heard a not-expected-buoyant voice from the other side.

"I was busy, Varun and you know it. I was having an important meeting!" I was brash enough to break his heart again.

"Oh.. Yeah I thought you are with Sayak. Sorry!" His voice became intense.

"Ohh!! For God's sake Varun, stop this now!" I retorted back.

There was silence for another few seconds. "Anyway why did you call me?!"

"Hmm.... Can we meet for a last time, Soumi?"

"Why?!"

"No! I mean, just like that. I will be going off to Australia next week, Soumi. Just wanted to see you for the last time!" I was afraid of his weeping but I kept my rude voice consistent.

"Oh! But today I am going to tell Sayak that I want no divorce from him, that I am in love with him. I don't think we should meet anymore, Varun. I hope you understand!"

"He won't believe you, Soumi. He knows you love me! He can't trust you anymore. Don't leave me, Soumi!" Varun pleaded.

"I will make him understand. He's my husband. He will understand me! You're my past, Varun."

"Please Soumi!!" I felt Varun burst into tears.

"Huh! Varun, stop crying. I didn't cheat on you ever, Varun. I fell for him. You could have understood if you were married too."

"Hmmm......" I heard his silence again.

"Hello, Varun.... I am late. We can talk later."

"No its ok. We don't need to talk anymore. Bye and take care!"

I switched off my cell phone and sat quietly for another 10 minutes inside my car. Sayak loved me but I didn't, when I married him. Varun and I were a couple since our college days. We were immensely in love with each other but I had to marry Sayak as he was a Bong. Yeah, in short I was forced to marry Sayak.

I was driving my car and trying to focus on the traffic but my mind wandered back to the night when I confessed everything about Varun and my husband sat there in shock. And tonight, when everything is ready for divorce and all the papers are with me, my heart ditched on Varun. The three years of Sayak and me, the silent dinners we had together every night, our separate bedrooms, his silence from the other room at night while I lay on the bed talking to Varun-- left my heart confined in his house, confined in the man who stays with his wife, but not his lover. The time, the fate had left my heart confined with the man who loved a stranger.

And now I am in love with this man. I am not really sure whether he will understand me. I am scared he will still sign the papers, which he knew, were waiting for him tonight. I am scared to lose him, and yes, I have told this to Varun. I hope Varun didn't consider me as a cheat. I hope Varun will find a lovely girl for himself. I hope Varun will forget me.

"Hi, Sayak. Had a very important meeting today and I guess, it went good." I  said as I saw Sayak sitting on the sofa and his eyes, glued to the television screen.

Our three-storied house was silent. "Sayak.. How was your day?" I asked him after a pause.

"Ah. Good." He replied without looking at me.

"I have something to tell you, Sayak. Can you please look at me?!"

"Go and change first. You're tired!" Sayak looked at me and smiled.

I was splashing waters on my face when I felt something sting behind me. A sudden pain engulfed my body, awning my vision. I felt a huge lump inside my throat! I struggled to turn around and look at Sayak smiling at me gracefully, holding a knife which was red.

The shock immersed in the throbbing, crude pain as I fell onto the ground. Sayak sat beside me while I wailed on the floor. He whispered - "Sorry, Soumi! I love you. Either you're mine or you're dead."

A Woman Knows The Secret Better!!

Five of us- Me, Maddy, Kush, Gaurav and Suraj, landed on the spot when some coolies came forward offering a help to us,each propelling the others with their firm, rigid hands. Like always, we spurned their offer and walked away. We were too excited about seeing the Sundarbans, our second escapade together, without our families- just we friends. I looked at each of them, each pair of eyes shone with twinkling brightness as they wandered all through the beautiful place. I smiled and waited for the moment I could see the tigers in front of me!

"Man, I am just not going today. It is such a bad hair day for me! It ruined my trip!"

I caught myself shouting at a peak, really the situation, the stickyness of my hair messed up all my good mood! Maddy was just lying down beside me, looking at me and chuckling. I looked at her through the mirror, gave her an intense, "you-better-know-what's-gonna-happen-to-you-if-you-chuckle-one-more-time" look.
Being the only other girl of our group, I expected her to understand my feeling. But there she was laughing at me. I went towards the couch and slept. "I am just not going!"

"Huh! Why are you creating such a scene?! Go, take this and recharge your hair. Its going to hardly take 15 minutes. Do it. I know, you forgot your shampoo. Now we are all going together!" I saw her stretching out a bottle of Sunsilk to me.

Kush laughed out-- "Hahah!! man, you girls! I don't think tigers will even try to hit on you."

Maddy cried out-- " Shut up Kush!"

I was still at my worst. After a long this and that, I finally managed myself into the bathroom. I knew I had to recharge my hair to make it damage free and well, on an outing like this, I just can't go without conditioning my hair. Every girl would know how much our hair mean to us!

We five were on our way to the jungle! How we discussed about it nights after nights, how we only dreamed of going to a jungle! We finally made it.

We roamed there for the whole day, waited to see the tigers, heard their growling and screamed loud, then held each other firmly and sat quietly waiting for them. Aaahhhh it was such a moment of Utopia and anticipation. It couldn't have been better! We were all living our dreams, living our adventures.

After an excited day out, we came back to our resort. We laid down and were gossiping about the dreadful creature we saw, we felt. Suddenly Kush said-- So Preeti, you were really having a bad hair day right?! Is this your bad hair?? It is sooooo soft. It doesn't look bad at all. You girls will never change man!"  All the guys had a hearty laugh over this. I said-- "Aaahhh!! Don't touch my hair!". Then I looked at Maddy and yeah, I winked.

We had a lovely dinner that night and slept for only 2 hours- the rest of the night went by, I mean, I don't know how. We talked and laughed and talked and laughed and talked and laughed and well, we heard the birds chirping. It was then when we decided to take a nap because yet another part of the jungle was left for us to watch and to go around for.

The next morning, I am yet again standing in front of the mirror holding my soft puff of hair. "Hmmm.... So.. Sunsilk! Yes, Sunsilk, I love you for making my day so perfect yesterday! And well even today, I mean a whole long day in between dust and dust and only dust, and still my hair is shining bright and sexily exposing its silky attire! It not only recharged my hair, but even my life!"

Maddy came from behind and said-- "No!! You're really having a bad hair day! You can't go today, you know!"

And now we two girls have a hearty laugh over this!!

Marriage Calls Off!!

I looked at mom in a gesture saying "No!!!! Never!!"

I knew mom probably wasn't aware of his "Oh-so-Dashing" looks! I don't blame this on her. I looked at him, he came towards me with all his 32 flashing out ! This, no doubt, couldn't chop off the tingy feeling I started to have when I first saw him at the door. How casually he walked inside with the suitcase in his hand! A tough feeling attacked me when he came to shake his hands with me -- " Hi, I am Arun."

I wanted to flee, I wanted to run away from there!! Each and everything that belongs to him, started giving me goosebumps and that itchy feeling - his suitcase, his  shirt, his hands and even his parents!! I yet again, looked at his stubble and then again at his hands which was waiting eagerly to get hold of mine! Man, I hate that unclean stubble!

I closed my heart and forwarded my hand. But yeah, my heart knew that was the first as well as the last time I was seeing him!

May be I am getting older, may be I will have none who would make me a bride, but yes, it can never be him! I just had to call it quits!

Buddha Hoga Tera Baap!!

Click here to see here the honour:
                                                          Blogadda Top Post!

Even though the event culminated in, the man wasn't in his usual self. The vigour that he possessed at the moment made him lurk and lust, just like an 18 year old with visions of that of a virgin who had moved into the realms of fantasy.! The hotties, the aunties, the Chai-Wali mausi, and even the teenager didn't miss to be the apple of his eye (Oops, I meant Apples!). May be it was just the effect of his vodka!

He still tried to suppress his long, long high spirited feelings. But aah- our minds and hearts never listen to a word we say! And nor did his. His Battamiz Dil nudged the event he tried to focus in, and there it went bouncing and leaping onto the chests of the beautiful young ladies all around him. He tried and tried to snatch away his eyes from them, but Alas! All was in vain. His mind was tootling around the hot and wild nights he had with his wife and his girl-friends! He wanted to go back home and watch the Big Boss series where they had Sunny Leone captured in the house! Aah, he just couldn't wait a second more for the event to end.
He started humming the famous song from Jism 2 - Abhi Abhi Toh Aaye Ho!!

Luckily, the event didn't take much to get over. Thank God, now he can rush away to his bedroom. He got up and was preparing to dash just when the group of his colleagues occluded the way to his wisdom. Oooohhhh Nooooo!!!! What more could one have asked for at the moment of such a High Time!!

His mind pleaded to all his colleagues to let him go! He just wanted to go. His mind and heart started to pin and choke. But who knew he will find "His Wisdom" in that Hot Crowd?!

Her long hair, her beautiful kohled eyes, her stunning neck-piece, her slim waist, her sexy legs, her tight skirt and her ..... I mean Man! She is so hotttttt!!!!!

Uncle T lost his control and went back to his adolescence. How he once craved for someone exactly like her! And then over the years, how his luck got worse, his parents saw his wife and "Don't know how they liked her" and then got him married to her!! His smart little boneless thingie never ever saw justice! This is so unfair!

But he knew this was it and yeah, she was her! May be she was around 30 years younger to him, but then when did love start to count age?!!

After a lot of chit chats, he took her aside. She seemed cool and very pleasant. Uncle T knew he had earned his luck. So much of hardships are always welcome when the fruit can be this sweet. He wagged his tail in amusement. This is going to be a Blast!! Oohh-- Yeah! ;)

Seeing an escalator and the rewarding chance, Uncle T bounced upon her. "Ohh Babyyy, You are so damn hawt!! I'm hawt as well, ain't I?!!"

The girl caught her breath and tried to retreat back. She thought-- " Ohh Noo Buddha, You're not!! Leave me, man!!"

But there he was jumping in his wild thoughts of fantasy! He pounced upon her and showed her his best! Yeah, he did!! But he must have not imagined his single "High Time" can make him rest behind the bars for the rest of his life! Never ever! Its so unfair!

He straight went into the news! Yeah, he did a lot to be in news earlier but this was not how he wanted to be in it!! It was indeed a Blast for him!

His boneless world came crashing down! He didn't want things to be like this, did he?! He was trying to be just friendly with the girl. He has always loved his wife, you know! He has a daughter as well! I mean, how can he just do such a thing! He Loves his family, man!! But now, how can he tell this to the world?!

How? How? How?!

Girl,You wear shorts?!! :O

The Indian women are well taken care of. They are not only invulnerable but are dreadfully respected too! They are traditionally termed as "Devi" after Devi Durga banished all the evil powers from our society! It is believed that women can lead this phony society towards purity and integrity. Women are the symbol of love and piety. It is a woman's love that can nurture a little baby into a full-grown adorable man.

But- These all came with a "Conditions Apply" tag! A woman with a traditional attire is most likely to be the one with all these qualities. Wearing a tee and shorts if you are a woman (I mean an Indian woman) is still a "She-is-trying-to-show-off" or "Ohh!! My Goodness! She is a bitch!" condition!! And as you can imagine what will be the case if you are already married! And being born as an Indian girl, I am very well aware about our really contemporary society. I had learnt to hold back my ever-longing desire to wear shorts when I go out with such group of people.

I was even more mesmerized when one of my cousin (nearly of my own age) suddenly expressed her decade-suppressed views about wearing shorts.

We were heading towards a family get-together, me and my cousin, hand-in-hand. A girl was passing by wearing a short denim skirt. My cousin suddenly ambushed upon that stranger (I don't know what actually bothered her) and cried out to me-- Look at that girl!!

I (very much unaware of the fact that she was talking about the length of her skirt), replied back to her-- Yeah!! What? I find nothing absurd.....

My cousin waylaid me-- Just look at her skirt!! Ki cheappp!!!! (Ki-- SO in bengali)

I was hushed by her words, not knowing what to reply her back. The girl came nearer to us. I pretended that we were actually not talking about her but somehow guilt suppressed my outlook.

My cousin waited for the actual time to show her heroic deeds and just when the girl was about to pass us, my cousin cried out loud-- If we girls wear such dresses, why won't guys hound us?!

My cousin was out-flashing her all 32 in great gratitude and pride while I was down in the drains! I was trying to escape the girl's aching heart and emotions! I was trying to prove that I was not the one who considered her to be a bitch!

I looked at my cousin and said-- Chill!!

That was the day after when, I knew all my shorts must be carefully locked inside my closet whenever my cousin visits me, to become a perfect Bharatiya Naari!!

The Devil Within!!

Everyone around us wants to be the best vividly. We constantly fight with our lifestyle and recreate our ego in a very spurious manner just to be the Best in every way possible. We are entangled in such a way that we hardly feel the presence of virtue! Ego and haughtiness become the very ligature around us! We are unable to combat ourselves out from this stifle like situation. And then there it is-- we start faking on others to get over them, to outstrip them!

But are we really faking on them??

In the process of faking others, we are losing ourselves to the devil! Our souls, our inner strength and beauty are thus losing whatever Holy it had and are rendering our souls to the vicious lord! We start to become selfish. Others' success makes us utterly jealous! Jealousy vanquish our inner beauty! We then strive only to make the successful person down, only to beat him or her in every possible way and thus we start to cheat on others, our relatives, our friends, and our closed ones!!
We forget the meaning of a lovely, true relationship! We act helpless and inadvertent. All that matters to us is how to bring that person down and how to overpower him / her. In order, we lose friends, we lose our loved ones!
We remain all alone! Above all, we lose our self respect!! Others start to look down to us when they come to know that we were actually cheating on them behind their backs and hence backstabbing!

To me, jealousy ruins every bit of happiness in our lives! How stupid is it not to be happy when some one else is successful and happy in their lives?! How can you not laud the merits or talents the other person has, just because you are a little less than him / her?! What type of a friend are you if you cannot rejoice in your friend's success?! No one, really no one, wants such a sham friend in their lives! We, hence, need to change. We, hence, need to be a good soul!!

We get jealous when we know that we are actually incapable of doing better than the other person and we have nothing to do! We get spurious, we cheat on our friends, we become evil, greedy and narrow-minded and then we lose them! We should always remember that if we ever want others' lives to be at stake, we are the ones who are creating hassles and fatal fortune for ourselves! We are only messing up our own lives! And trust me, nothing can be worse than that ever!!

Thus, lets try to be happy when others are happy! Lets not try to mess up anyone's life, let's not cheat on anyone, or deteriorate ourselves as a person!!

Let's not try to hold our self respect at stake in whatever we do, we pray and we achieve! Is it a real achievement if we get it by faking others?!

Only when we achieve something by working hard ourselves genuinely enough, will give us the real, true happiness! Otherwise, a guilt will always act in the way of our joy and success!! The guilt, the shame will be our constant companions throughout our lives and that is no doubt, fatal for us to be happy and relieved! Being kind to others makes you a better person! Once you start loving and praising others for what good they do and not harm them in any way intentionally, you will start to feel how beautiful you are from within! And that's the only trick to be truly happy in your life!! :)

Ending my post with a very good luck and wishes so that you become successful in being a truly good human being! :)

P.S.-- Hope you liked it and I hope my post will be useful to at least one among the readers! I really want the people to change regarding this and hence the post! If you have something to share ( regarding this), you are always welcomed in my comment box! I will love to read them and learn from them!

Much Love! :)
Preeti! :)

Headphones are so useful sometimes :p

What do you do when the people who mean the least to you, hinder with whatever you have to do!

Why on earth do people think that I actually am going to listen to them and change my living style and my "oh! so lovely" habits! I really do not understand where their heads are at, any how!!
They continuously question me to whom I'm talking to in my cell phone and why, why am wearing a "bindi" of  "a particular size" and that I should wear "a smaller one" or "a bigger one"!! If  I don't carry my mobile phone with me any day,at least one day, then why am I not carrying it with me! Why have I kept them at my home and came without it! If they get a hold of my personal stuffs (like my cell phone or my purse), they would have to immediately behave as if they are from "C.I.D" and I have something hidden within my purse and cell phone that they would "LOVE" to know and happily ransack it completely!!
Not only with me, their minds are at almost each and every people they come across! They would obviously put it as "Have you seen how short "her" pants are????? OMG!!!!!!", " She has wore that party dress, its good! But she cannot carry it off properly!", " She is married! She should not wear stuffs like that! (and by " stuffs like that" they would mean something as simple as jeans, or a 3 quarter!)!!!!
And the worst is yet to come!!!!!

Whenever they come across you, their very first reaction towards you is to LOOK AT YOU FROM TOP TO BOTTOM AND HAVE A GREAT LOOK AT WHAT YOU HAVE WORE (lucky only if you are a woman! Men still do not have that pleasure!! Sorry guys!! But don't worry, I am sure, soon will they look at a man like that too, measuring his attire! )
And if (by chance, due to your irritation), you say anything against them, they would proudly utter that wearing jeans and whatever else they think to be " OMG!! Stuffs", doesn't mean we are modern!! Well, like your gossiping about others' attires and "what else not!" makes you modern!! :p

Aaaaaahhhh!!!!!!! I am so darn tired of these lunatics!!!

Does anyone has any way out to avoid these madcaps?! Well, I'm tired of finding even one!! Sometimes, I feel like punching them on their faces, and sometimes kill myself thinking about my harsh, crude luck that always have to bring them infront of me!!!!!

So, how do I shun them away??!!

Well, Need I say anything more??!! ;)

Avoid Prickers!!

The Prickers- as it goes like, are the people who never miss a chance to put you down!! No matter how much you are loved or are stable in your life, they are always there to let you down. I have been going through this since quite a long time, and this is what has just urged me to pen it down here. Sharing some incidents might help you readers to connect with them.

I was there in a party (my cousin's wedding) with my whole family. My sister bought me new outfits for the ceremony. We went there looking forward to really enjoy the party. We entered the hall,in high spirits to meet our relatives and cousins. A relative came forward to greet us but she suddenly emerged telling me- Your churidaar is really good, and the dupatta too but your sister's isn't that nice!!
My sister and I were taken aback by her so craggy comment!! Anyone would be!! I suddenly replied her saying- Its her only who bought me new clothes!! So it seems she loves me more than herself!! Isn't it?? :)

She was forced to soften. She smiled and got away.

Me and my bestfriend were talking about these "put-downs". I went into a tizzy when she told me that she was facing some similar things in her life. She knows this girl in her college who never boosts her up or appreciates her for anything good she does, rather she always pulls her down!!

Once my best friend (I call her Maddy), scored AN EXCELLENT in her project. She was obviously very happy for her achievement. But the girl came forward and put her down by saying that the professor had actually given an excellent to most of the students, and that she was no exception.

My friend automatically became upset, where the truth was very few students including Maddy scored a high in the project and the girl putting her down couldnot achieve it!!

Another incident which occured to me very recently needs a very special mention over here.

Those who are my regular readers would obviously know that I have started blogging very recently. I'm nearly a month's old here. And offcourse I'm here to overcome my depression in life and  I'm Trying to help others who have been facing the same situations like me but are still not strong enough to overcome it. I'm truly happy that I have been receiving messages like my articles are kind of inspiring them and making them strong and happy.
I'm so glad that I atleast can make a single person on this Earth smile through my writings! I'm being successful and I truly thank to all my readers for this.

My friends were really happy for my writing and a little bit of my success. I have a "So called friend" with whom I was talking about my blog. You will very soon know the reason behind calling her my "so called friend".
I was quite excited about it when she told me she too wants to read it and asked me for my link. She read it but wasn't really saying anything about it to me. I was a bit sad because she is my really good friend. I asked her- You didn't like it,nah?? She then replied me- No! Its good. I mean, its good as a first timer! You are writing for the first time, nah!!
Surely, I was taken aback by her reply!! NO, it wasn't my first time. I had been writing in my personal diary since a long time. I had always loved writing about my life and my experiences. So, I was so forlorn. I thought I am not a good writer and people who say and text me are just saying them to flatter me. Because the friend telling me this was really my good friend and I have always appreciated her in every possible way. I am not a professional writer so its obvious I will not be perfect (even the best of the writers are not sometimes),but I was really wanting some sort of encouragement from my so good friend which I failed to get anyhow.
I read in the internet about these prickers and now I surely believe that we will always face some criticism for whatever good we do but if most of the lot likes and appreciates you, then you are really not that bad, infact ,you are there achieving your goals.
And I kinda thank these "prickers" for pricking me and my closed ones as I wouldn't have been able to come up with this article of mine if it wouldn't have been them trying to put us down!!

Some really important ways to cope up with these put downs are:
  1. Think from where these criticisms are coming!! (as I have read an article by an author) If they are coming from a person much more senior and "well educated" than you, think about it and learn from it as we don't always do the right thing, offcourse ,so every criticism might not be just a "put down".
  2. We must know how to recognize a "put down"!! Like,if that comment makes you really sullen and upset and you are pretty down there thinking about the whole darn comment for long time and which even affects you going forward with your work,it is surely meant to be a "put down" for you!!
  3.  "Put-Downs" generally come from those people who are themselves a big time losers and most of the time they never get happy when someone else is achieving something good!! In short , they are jealous of your success!! They tend to put others down so that they cannot really go on achieving honour and love anymore!!
      4.     We often start believing in the put downs and get upset which affects our beautiful life!! So just don't!!
         5.

      6. Now, if you yourself belong to the "prickers association", I would like to say that please don't prick and put down others but try to appreciate them for what good they do!! And similarly, try yourself to improve by doing something good not by pulling someone down but by achieving better than them yourself!! That's where the real credits lie!! :) Never put someone else down, just to make yourself feel better.

Hope I have been successful in sharing my views clearly!! Hope people don't really prick others and think about themselves much more than putting others down!!

    Much Love!! :)

    Perfection isn't really perfect always!!!!

I wonder why do people always want us to act perfect????!!!!
I have met a person recently, who actually dissemble to be PERFECT at all times in his life!! Even if he's busy doing something noxious, he puts it up as the sin of some other person related to him and thus he being affected by the situation. And most of the other people tend to love and trust him more than anything else in the world!! Strange, isn't it?? My another really important lesson in life was concerning such a person and i'm really glad that i somehow came across this person.

He was kinda strange, he was my friend, and used to tell me that he wanted to make everything related to him perfect!! And by that, he certainly meant, he wanted to be perfect to anyone and everyone in this world!! He wanted a perfect 100 in his papers, he wanted to be perfect to his girlfriend, he wouldn't smoke infront of his girlfriend and parents, and give them the illusion that he's the gem in their life anyway!! Funny!! It sounded funny to me somehow!!
He always used to say that he would just do anything for his love and his parents!! He would even give away his life for them!!
But the funniest part was, he was actually only saying such stuffs to make people fond of him, look up to him, may be. The reality was, he refrained from doing anything like that. When the time came to show his love and perfectness,he turned his tail towards it!! He escaped so that he doesn't mess up his own life!!

But the outer world still loved him for his so called perfectness. He was being a genuine perfect one for this world!! But I wonder how can anyone stay happy with these kinda people?? They tend to make others fantasize about themselves. Even, I was building castles up in the air about his so called perfect character!!!!

But it was actually a big bang on me when I came to know the actual him. He ran away from any serious or typically tough situations and saved himself. He wouldn't be there even for his own family or love if he faced any difficulty himself. And they kinda make you do something for them and still keep on bragging about it themselves!! I have learnt that these people ought to make you suffer more by their so called perfectness!! And they try to gain sympathy by acting foolish and you know, you will just love them for this!!

I was actually trying to find out some solutions to avoid these people, atleast not to be affected by them in life. And the best ones that dawned on my mind was :

    1. Learn to say a firm no!! - If you are actually not in the mood in doing anything for them, just say a "NO" and never think what others will actually think about you, because as I stated in my earlier post, that their opinion about yourself doesn't really matter!!
    2. Just laugh out loud and go away from them whenever you find them blowing their own horns or blaming anyone else for their own failure.
    3. Actually give them tough situations to deal with and see what their answers are!! They will have the funniest, useless yet "i m so brave" type of answers!!
    4. Never in life take them seriously whenever you see someone constantly blaming someone else for his own life!! They are absolutely nothing and they are the fatuous people who are unable to do anything themselves and keep on blaming others so that they kinda feel better for who they are!!
Mostly these are the people who tend to be nothing but  perfect losers in life. But our main motive should be how to be happy in life and thus we have to avoid these people for the sake of our happiness!!The most important thing is to love yourself the most,no matter what!!

Noone actually is perfect!! No relationship can be perfect, but loving the imperfections of the other person brings up a whole perfect relationship!! Neither your parents nor your true friends will want you to be perfect at all!! Rather they will make it perfect by being with you,no matter how stupid you are!! So just throw away this utterly stupid idea of being perfect and live your life and be proud of what you are. Try to love yourself. Don't make your own self so blurred infront of others!! You should be the best to yourself no matter what, and you must do what you actually feel! That may not be perfect to someone else but that's where your uniqueness lies!! If someone's making you unhappy consistently, just move on leaving that person aside!! Because what matters is to be happy!! Being perfect somewhat makes you boring!! And you having this only one life, would you actually want to make it boring????

    Atleast,I won't!!!!
